Agent-Decision Making
Incomplete Factorial Design
The agent decision-making module is designed to potentially model a wide variety of agent types.  A modular, factorial design will allow structured comparisons of a continuum of agent types, ranging from the neoclassical Homo Economicus through agents manifesting a variety of boundedly rational characteristics to a purely heuristic decision maker.  For any agent type, we have identified a series of components that must be specified.   Any agent specification must include a preference or utility specification, information processing capabilities, decision-making strategies, and a model of learning.
