About CIPEC

The Center for the Study of Institutions, Population, and Environmental Change (CIPEC) at Indiana University is an NSF-funded Center on the Human Dimensions of Global Environmental Change. It focuses primarily on long-term and systematic studies of deforestation and afforestation as mediated by institutions and demographic processes in the Western Hemisphere, Africa, and Asia. CIPEC brings together researchers from social and environmental sciences to study the links between human behavior at the household and community levels and regional and global change phenomena.

Indiana University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.

If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. Please contact this office at 812-855-5631 for assistance.
